Since we introduced our Price Promise we have had some customers claim that they have been able to find the same items cheaper elsewhere, but we have found that claims have become increasingly invalid because our competitors do not offer the same product and service that we do.
The nature of the printer supplies market means that we see competitors come and go very regularly and the competitors referred to in the invalid claims were not providing at least one of the following:

# products available in stock
Processing the Price Promise claims relied upon us being able to contact the competitor to clarify that they were offering a product and service comparable to ours; in some cases it proved to be extremely difficult to contact the other retailer and we felt that this was wasting our Customer Service resources.
